He's down on the results page as "finishing" 8th last friday. Trust me, he'll be the cause of all the problems.
He has never caused me any problems on the tables, in fact, he's so bad at poker, the term dead money doesnt do him justice. I'd be happy to be at his table.
I assume his 8th place finish was just a freak incident where he just won every race, I cant see him getting there on poker skill.....
Ironically on this topic. Tonight at Bolton only 4 were due to be paid in the £30 freezeout. However, 8 players (including the biggest stack by far) agreed that 5th-9th take £50 each of out of the prize pool with one in disagreement. The lad stood his ground and refused even though everyone else agreed and was encouarged too to accept also. He did eventually accept to 5th-9th taking £30 each just before the final was about to start, although he was not really pressured into it, but more so convinced by the prospect that it was distinct prospect that he may not make the top 4 and go home with nothing. I accept that it was completely his decision but considering the relatively small difference it made to the winners prize, I found his choice funny even more so considering he was in 5th or 6th in chips. Dont he made the big money in the end and i think in hindsight he probably thought it better to agree to the intial deal...........I disagree with pokerboss. I think deals are there to be made, especially in the latter stages of a tourny when it can turn into a crapshoot. The 5th-9th finishers in the above tourny would have left with nothing for 6 hours worth of play if a deal had not been struck. However, no player should be bullied into a deal.
i agree about the deals il play in the week in a weekly tour n we always pay top 5 but even i am chip leader by a long way i will always offer a deal for 6th place always there cash back and sum times the play loossens up cause people who are short stacked now tat they have there money back
