How to speed up Mozila Firefox.
I found so Tried a few tweaks in fire fox and found they work a treat.
Open the configuration menu by typing in the following into the field where you normally fill in the URLs:
About:config
In the config menu you have to set up the following changes:
- network.http.pipelining (put “true”)
- network.http.proxy.pipelining (put “true”)
- network.http.pipelining.maxrequests put on 100
- network.http.max-connections 48
- network.http.max-connections-per-server 16
- network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy 8
- network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server 4
You save the changes by clicking the right button of your mouse somewhere on the screen and choose new -> integer from the menu. Now you have to write nglayout.initialpaint.delay into the popup and type in number 0 into the next window. Then close window, close browser , Reopen browser and there you go.. _________________ "The motto of chivalry is also the motto of wisdom; to serve all, but love only one. I advise anyone not to use this tweak. Sure it's quicker but it really abuses server resources and can busto small sites very quickly, making them unusable for everyone else. _________________ Jon Thomson

I am a bully
Jon please could you explain this statement, because if you load a page quicker in a fraction of the time it was loading then your then viewing the page and once you have downloaded the page no further stress is put on the server or am i looking at this wrong ?? >Edit <
Another thought i just had was if a page is say 30kb in download size then your still only going to be downloading 30kb no matter how fast you set Firefox, or again is my thinking on this wrong. _________________ "The motto of chivalry is also the motto of wisdom; to serve all, but love only one. What these tweaks do is increase the number of requests and connections that you make to the destination server. A lot of servers only allow a certain number, so if you make too many you'll either break the server or cause things not to display properly. _________________ Jon Thomson
