Hi Conrox
Sorry it took awhile to reply but i have a house full of vista infected pc`s that need formatting and xp pro putting onto them.
you most defiantly need XP because for starters everything works with xp when you say your going to be using it for sky sports are you referring to TV viewing ?? if you are i would suggest paying that little extra for one with a good graphics card in it and an s-video connection. the typ of thing your looking for is the DELL Inspiron 6400 Dual Core processor & 1GB memory for faster processing if you look here you will see it. http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/features.aspx/notebooks_better?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs

And if you notice unlike PC world (who are crap) you have an option to buy it with either Vista (crappppp) or xp (GOOD!) i hope this has helped but i would shop around as you could pick one up cheaper but thats the sort of spec i would be looking at ok.

Ok now i am really going to Rant !!!!!

Little old lady at pc world spends £900 on a computer great system fantastic graphics the full wack even a 250gig sata drive and oooooo a litescribe sata dvd rewriter top notch gear. But yet again that awfull vista virus was pre installed. She phoned them, she pleaded with them but nope they cannot change her system from Vista to xp. She tried to tell them her printer will not work, her scanner will not work and her brand new Rioch digital camera will not work with vista ITS UNCONTROLABALY INCOMPATIBLE with ever plug in device she owns.

As a last resort before giving it back to them, she brought it round for me to delet the virus and put an original version of xp professional on for her. Yep no problem. Now this is when the fun starts, 1st thing 2 sata drives anyone know how to load sata drivers onto a hard drive when both the cd rom and the hard drive are both sata. good laugh this i sorted that one in 30 seconds so now i have the fantastic xp up and running, lets get the drivers for everything inside so that it will work. Arrr motherboard is an ASUS P5LD-LE ooo super great only drivers for this are vista. What a load of Bollox its a god damn conspiracy motherboard manufactures are even hiding the god damn xp drivers now. Infact there is so much to say about all this crud today i dont want to talk about it anymore.
