PokerStars Super Tuesday

The PokerStars Super Tuesday drew a crowd of 384 players, vying for a winner's prize of $78,000. Among the best finishes falling short of the final table were TiltHappens in 12th place ($5,600), Jonathan "driverseati" Tamayo in 14th ($4,800) and Adam "Roothlus" Levy in 17th ($4,000). The chip counts at the start of the final table were as follows:

0120 - 229,857
Scott "dorinvandy" Dorin - 177,317
Michnak - 170,208
Faraz "The-Toilet 0" Jaka - 159,509
Greg "DuckU" Hobson - 132,213
Justin "WPThero" Rollo - 110,812
nateypgate - 106,254
backmanslivs - 35,576
ADZ124 - 30,254

At 1,000/2,000/200, backmanslivs busted. From the cutoff, backmanslivs shoved for 31,576 with (4-Hearts)(4-Spades) and was called by Scott "dorinvandy" Dorin in the small blind with (A-Clubs)(10-Spades). A ten came on the flop and it was enough to send backmanslivs home in ninth for $7,000. In the following level, 1,250/2,500/250, nateypgate was sent to the rail. Nateypgate raised to 6,800 from the cutoff and Dorin called on the button. The flop came (7-Spades)(9-Hearts)(4-Spades) and nateypgate led out for 9,200. Dorin shoved all in with the bigger stack holding (A-Spades)(Q-Spades) and nateypgate called all in with (J-Spades)(9-Spades), which was ahead. However the turn and river came (A-Hearts) and (Q-Diamonds) , and nateypgate was out in eighth place for $10,000.

It took quite a while for the next player to fall, but on the last hand of 2,000/4,000/400 both Justin "WPThero" Rollo and Scott "dorinvandy" Dorin were felted. Faraz "The-Toilet 0" Jaka opened to 12,000 and Scott Dorin moved all in for 138,366. On the button, Justin Rollo then reraised all in for 146,631 total. Jaka insta-called, tabling (A-Spades)(A-Diamonds), having Dorin's (J-Diamonds)(J-Clubs) and Rollo's (10-Diamonds)(10-Clubs) on the ropes. The board ran out (6-Hearts)(5-Diamonds)(9-Clubs)(8-Clubs)(6-Clubs) and Jaka won the huge hand. Dorin finished in seventh for $14,000 and Rollo in sixth for $18,000. At 3,000/6,000/600, 0120 was on the short stack and moved all in from the small blind for 61,549 with (10-Hearts)(8-Diamonds), and was called by Michnak in the big blind with (K-Clubs)(10-Clubs). The board came (J-Hearts)(J-Spades)(J-Diamonds)(K-Diamonds)(9-Diamonds) and 0120's tourney was over in fifth place for $23,000.

Greg "DuckU" Hobson's impressive recent run does not appear to be ending anytime soon. After a victory in the FTOPS X series and a final table one night earlier in the Fill Tilt $1,000, he finished fourth here. His final chips were in the middle when he held (A-Diamonds)(7-Diamonds) against Faraz Jaka's (8-Spades)(8-Clubs). The board came (5-Diamonds)(8-Hearts)(Q-Spades)(2-Hearts)(9-Diamonds) to end Hobson's run. Hobson earned $33,600 for his effort. ADZ124 worked his short stack all the way up to third place. The blinds and antes were 5,000/10,000/1,000 when he exited; in the small blind, chip-leader Faraz Jaka shoved and ADZ124 called all-in for 60,528 with (J-Clubs)(4-Clubs) and had Jaka's (4-Spades)(2-Spades) dominated. The board ran out (Q-Hearts)(2-Clubs)(9-Spades)(10-Diamonds)(A-Spades) as Jaka hit his deuce, sending ADZ124 to the rail in third for $44,000.

The chip counts at the start of heads-up play were these:

Faraz "The-Toilet 0" Jaka - 690,270
Michnak - 461,730

The match came to an end at 7,500/15,000/1,500. Jaka had built up a nearly 10-to-1 chip lead and moved all in from the button with (A-Spades)(9-Clubs). Michnak called with (A-Hearts)(2-Hearts) and when the board came (6-Clubs)(7-Diamonds)(3-Clubs)(4-Diamonds)(K-Hearts) it was all over. Michnak finished in second place for $59,000 as Faraz "The-Toilet 0" Jaka took down the Super Tuesday for a prize of $78,000.

Final Results:

1. Faraz "The-Toilet 0" Jaka -$78,000
2. Michnak - $59,000
3. ADZ124 - $44,000
4. Greg "DuckU" Hobson - $33,600
5. 0120 - $23,000
6. Justin WPThero" Rollo - $18,000
7. Scott "dorinvandy" Dorin - $14,000
8. nateypgate - $10,000
9. backmanslivs - $7,000
