Chaser that's genuinely disgusting and you would have been well within your rights to say what you liked - no one would have thought it was sour grapes. It would have been funnier if he'd timed out with all his showboating and the hand declared dead.

I'm guessing I know who it was Sad but there was no need for that.

This kind of behaviour is the lowest of the low....In poker etiquette it doesn't get any worse and this ejit should be banned from all card rooms.

I dont think that this thread has anything to do with poker etiquette, bad behaviour is bad behaviour no matter where it takes place.

Some of these idiots overvalue their own ability, just like they do their mediocre hands. over betting, over reaction and over the top are all terms that can be applied.

The core of people I play live with do so with a degree of dignity, if you are going to take someones money, do it with dignity, if you are losing money, again show a degree of dignity, be dignified in your reactions to all situations that arise at the table and the idiots will only show themselves for what they are.

Street language does have a place, but to my mind it is once you have stepped away from the table,

I was victim to what in my opinion is the worst kind of bad etiquette in the £150 freezeout on Sunday night. He sat there for over 2 mins which is a long time at the table and finally reluctantly called.

I flipped my 88 over and a player in mid position said it must be a race. The guy who called me slowly turned over an ace and then even more slowly turned over another. He obviously thought it hilarious and said thats what you get for raising with 88 in early position.

forget the judge and jury, that sort of thing should go straight to execution, no questions asked. sorry to hear that, and sorry that you didn't spike an eight to make "slowroller tax" comments

That kind of slowboating is disgraceful in my opinion and should be outlawed. Anyone who knows me knows I take the badbeats as well as anyone and I usually just say nice hand. This time I asked him if he had been waiting for a drumroll but didnt want it to appear as sour grapes and walked away when the aces stood up.

Absolute joke!!!!! Don't think i could of held my tongue in that case.....*&%*&%^-£$*

Never really got the massive problem people have with slowrolling? Not something I would ever do, don't see its point but if someone wants to be a d ick it really doesn't effect me and all the sweeter when they get sucked out on.

I have to say having played a number of GUKPTs and other festivals across the UK and lots of local live games I have been amazed at how little bother there is. I've found the majority of players to be friendly and get along.

Maybe just lucky I guess.

I have to agree with you fella. Rather than big ego's I found the top end pro's great to be at the table with. Never heard a word said in anger or ridicule from them. IMO the abusive players are the ones who think they are better than they really are.

With the cross section of society which attend these live tournaments it is inevitable that people from different backgrounds will clash, even so i have been in cardrooms for 20 years and it is only since the televised tournaments/cash games involving the American idiots has the behaviour started to deteriate. Whe people see these successful "pros" behaving like absolute tw@s and getting away with it then of course people start to imitate such behaviour. I am very close to walking away from cardrooms altogether as i am sick of the constant so called banter , its not banter its rude, aggressive and borderline cheating. I am sick of trying to defend and explain why rules are in place about not "table talking C r a p " when people are all-in ' Exposing of cards when deciding to make a call, Asking stupid questions "Have you got a flush?" And it is all down to the prats on TV. Bring back the good old days when poker was a gentlemans game , No rub downs, no table talking and none of this ridiculous exposing of cards and then screaming "It happens all over the world" when warned not to do it again!!!!

P.S. For the 1st time last week i had an arguement with a regular over why we wouldn't allow them to "run the river twice"....now if thats not down to the influence of TV then i dont know what is?
