From earlier footage looks like Jonathan Raab got it right. The chip leader going into day 2 (Zach Ford) has come from the smaller day 1 field. Is that further proof that playing in the smaller field has an advantage? _________________ "vita non est vivere sed valere vita est" |

A guy makes it 4k and Ky on the bb looks down at A-Q so he moves all in for 20k, The guy snap-calls with K-10
Flop is K-K-10
Sick way to leave a tournament espescially at this point in the comp. |
I couldnt understand why someone would make a move like that with K 10 so near to day 2 so I asked my cat to explain it

This was a hard one to take. The guy who called me was Alan Vinson who had about 30k. He made it 4k and when I looked at my hand I knew it was good. I thought about passing solely because it was the last hand of the night but decided that that fact should not come into my thinking. I had 19.5k and pushed and he INSTA-CALLED the further 15.5k (leaving himself 10k behind).
I presumed he had AA, KK, QQ, or AK and I was in trouble.
Then he declares 'you're ahead' which I thought was a good sign. Aren;t good players supposed to pass when they know they're behind?
I really don;t understand this at all but I had an eerie feeling as soon as he flipped his hand that I was getting knocked out.
He flopped two pair, filled up on the turn, and I made the nut straight on the river just to rub salt in the wound.
Gutted, especially after I was completely card dead all day; three hands I got between level 5-8 were QQ, JJ, and JJ and each time someone at the table had AA. Guess it was not meant to be my day. _________________ A moment to learn, a lifetime to master |

Bet it cost you at least a couple of hours sleep thinking about it as well. Unlucky mate. If it put him all in and he decided he wanted to come backk well chipped or not at all then fair enough but if he lost he is coming back with 10k and to call saying your ahead is madness imvho. It will be interesting if Phill can grab him today to find out his thought process in that call _________________ "vita non est vivere sed valere vita est" |
