2nd hand of a satellite final table. Im sat in (seat 4) the big blind with 30k. Average at the table is 16k (ish). Blinds 600/1200. Folded to seat 10 (34k) who makes it 3.5k. I know this player very well and view him as very aggressive, I am also aware that he really wants the seat. Folded to me, including the button who is a very bad player, prone to making loose pre flop calls. What should I do with 10c7c? Is this a hand I should get involved with? Opinions please with reasons.

The Uber agreesive player who has raised: -

Does he normally continuation bet?
Would he raise with ATC if folded round to him as chip leader?
Is he gonna pay you off if you hit big?

Answer these and we can tell more.

how many seats? looks like a standard muck, why get involved with suited semi-connectors oop with low implied odds?

Why are u assuming low implied odds? Also shouldn't the "really wants the seat" statement make this person exploitable?

5/10 rule. also the "really wants the seat" does not make him exploitable, as i think that'd be the goal of everyone at the table, but again, without knowing the number of seats we can't tell.

Aggressive player has continuation bets within his range, and is a player who could pay me off if I hit big. There is one seat available (money to 2nd and 3rd). He would raise with ATC if folded to him, however the presence of the button player has to narrow his range.

Does the big blind know this?

Should do as he has been sat at the same table for over an hour...

Does anyone play poker to target one player? It's a ten handed table. We all know there's loose money out there but surely it's -EV to not raise with certain hand cos there's ONE person at the table who might come along with you.

Did this player you were targeting get involved in this hand?
