Nah couldn't be. |
well, more like that the big stack can call all-ins with a wider range and hence will probably be behind a bit more and then the whole "more hands played online = more bad beats" kicks into play which people don't recognise, but i think we're saying the same thing _________________ Jon Thomson

Online poker is NOT rigged. Some of the smaller sites maybe...
Stars, FTP, Will Hill, PP...NOT RIGGED.
Why would William Hill a MULTIMILLION pound industry possible run the risk of going busto by rigging tehrs intrenets pokers?

I think one problem is that no site, as I understand it, has a complete random-number generator. I believe there are a certain number of stacks and that these are played in a random order. I reckon that high cards are put towards the top of the majority of these stacks, and that this accounts for many of the bad beats described.
I remember reading that a site in the USA admitted to this when investigated, saying that since players tend to play high cards this contributed to their enjoyment - this was allows by the investigating authority.
You have only to look at the number of Aces which come down on flops to see that it almost always exceeds the number which should come down.
That's one reason for the sort of river/turn scenario shown above - QQ in succession. |
