Would just like to congratulate Gary and the rest of the staff for the £50 freezeout that was played last night. 1st time i've played at Circus for a while but with no decent games on in Newcastle anymore i thought i would give it a go. there were 121 runners plus the £500 added by the casino which made a prizepool of £6550, quite a good prize pool for a midweek game in a town where the game of poker has nose dived. Amazing what a few extra quid in the pot can do to a game. Look forward to seeing you all at the next one.

It's more than just the added money as it's a game that's been given a chance to grow with strong persuasion from the card room staff to the manager for the added money. Started off steady then it's grown to regular 100+ with the adjustment of the structure from help in the community that they listened to.

They put dealers on eventhough they can't do all tables but rotate them to keep it fair. Simple things like this make it work and make it more enjoyable.

The enthusiasm from the staff to make it run perfectly and stay up til 6am is what keeps players loyal and word quickly spreads.

Here here its THE only good game in Newcastle now and never underestimate the power of value its just a shame Captain Pugwash in charge of Aspers doesnt pop round to see what a good tourny is and the Grosvenor can just forget about it its virtuall game over.
Am looking forward tho to playing at the G in Blackpool for the early festival tournys which i think are next week but if am wrong then see you lot this weekend
