But for your info....his name isn't George |
So ....... I've played at tables with pros ranging in class from Jeff Duvall, Phil Curtis, Gary Bush, to Lee Nelson and Tony G - I gave an opinion on how to play the questioner's hand, and 'Jaws' tried to be sarcastic.
I care little if he is a minor English pro .... I've sent many of them to the rails in the past - as they have me - but I'm entitled to say what I'd have done in the questioner's shoes.
Poker's all about decisions - when you're right you're a 'hero', when you're wrong all the 'experts' (with the benefit of hindsight) will gleefully tell you where you "went wrong" ...... simple as that! |
Ok you make some valid points, which are nothing but your opinion, but why be such a tw@t in the way you get them across.

Oh the Iron Knee - I've managed to upset this poor delicate soul with my 'insulting' post, that much, that he has to call me a t w a t!

Easy guys, I respect each and every opinion here, but can we please put an end to the bickering?
Firstly, I must concur, George is no mug (a bit of a flid sometimes, but no mug), when playing well, he is probably the best player I know and his opinion always counts.
The reason for my call with KK is as follows:-
I put the villain on draw, rightly or wrongly. I do think he would do this with set, but more likely to wait until the turn in this instance.
If I call and win, I have the style of game to go on and dominate this table, even from so early on.
FYI - I did call, I was up against a combo draw, I did hold and double up, I did dominate the table and more importantly - I went on to win.
George, Im sure you are aware, that when I feel I am in front, I will get my chips in, its just the way I play, sometimes it goes horribly wrong i.e. the last hand of the Nottingham leg of the GCGPT, day 1a, when I got rivered for the chip lead, but I still stand by my call there (just to show I'm not results driven).
Thanks for the input guys.... |
