Playing local last night. On the bubble.get 5 and 6 clubs .really tight player does min raise i call as does one other.flop comes 2 3 king .Tight player bets tweve grand next player calls,i call leaving me with thirty six grand.Turn is jack .Tighty pushes all in for twenty six grand.Next player goes in tank and reluctantly folds. Now my mind is racing.Im putting him on ak kq or trips. Now if i call and lose im in deep trouble with blinds on 3k 6k.I respect his raise from betting patterns etc. I fold.We dealt the next card out of interest........................4 !!!! I ended up coming third but guess who won the game....! I would have called if either we were in the money,or if the other player had called. The reason for calling both was that the other player would have had about 5k left. So whoever would have won the hand helped me in a strange sort of way.Felt a little after but would like your thoughts on this.At the time i thought it was a discplined fold, but like i say im not sure.Reminded me of The Chaser laying those queens down in the APT. |

Did he say what he had?
I think you need to make the decision at the flop. There's no point calling the 12k if you're going to fold when the flush does come. Either fold it (reluctantly) on the flop, or decide to play it all the way. Also the odds are he's betting the turn no matter what, so you're paying 12k for one card. |
