Final table of a 24 seat private £30 MTT Live tournament.
4 players left in
Me - 9500 chips. i have been agg pushing all in with several hands when any one has limped and i had position.
player 2 -12500 pushes hard when he has had a hand
player 3 -2600 waits for a hands,
player 4 -8200, usually comes in with a big raise
fairly tight play with a lot of ground skimmers.
Blinds 500 -1000
I am on the SB & get dealt KQh. player 3 folds, players 4 limps in, i raise to 3000, BB Folds. Players 4 calls.
Pot size - 7000
Flop is Jh, Td, 2c.
up and down straight draw for me
first to act so I go all in for the remainder of my chips- 6500
player 3 calls and is all in. he shows Ks-10d. for a pair of 10's, the turn is a 7 and the river is a 9 which makes me the straight.
I would like to think that i played this hand well, but the other player was quite upset about being beaten on the river, and was really going on about how badly i played it. Donkey bet was mentioned,
I tried to explain my reasons for going all in. but he just kept moaning about how much of a donkey i was.
Would like others opinion of this hand please.
was i the donkey he claimed i was?
I think that i have learned a lot by playing live and online in the last 2-3 years, I always try to make the right decision, and learn by reading the questions and topics that are posted on this site.
By the way went on to win the tournament. _________________ Poker is all about making decisions. So when you make a bad decision, dont blame anyone else. |

Standard semibluff by you (plus you had overs which both could have been live).
Standard berating by him who can't stand to have been outdrawn. Fk him, imo, the classless **** _________________ Say to playing on tilt |

Just agree with him - after all, him calling for all his chips with second pair WAS the professional move, eh? _________________ Ascot

i'd just shove over the limp pre personally, as played i'm shoving what's likely got a zillion outs if called _________________ Jon Thomson

thought i played it ok.
I always try to get in with either the best hand or at least with lots of outs and a good price. Knew that if i lost i would be juxt about cripples and that if won i would be in a good position to take it down.
Its never my intention to inflict bad beats as that means i didn't play the hand well and underestimated the opposition.
But i do accept that they happen both for me and against me.
cheers peeps _________________ Poker is all about making decisions. So when you make a bad decision, dont blame anyone else. |

actually, important question, how many places are paid? if we're not in the money i'd probably muck pre, but i guess it paid 4-5? _________________ Jon Thomson
